Besides the presents for their 70^th birthday (no information on single-entity level available), Kristina and Julia are really happy to receive funding for their new CRC tandem-subproject on electroanalytics of nanocatalyst transformations during electrochemical oxidation reactions as part of the for 4 years extended Collaborative Research Centre / Transregio 247 Heterogenous Oxidation Catalysis in the Liquid Phase.

Best Paper Award at IWIS 20233. November 2023

At the end of September, Sebastian presented our study on the meaning of real axis offsets of electrochemical impedance spectra at the International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy (IWIS) and received one of the Best Paper Awards (3^rd). The corresponding article in the conference proceedings is now available online at IEEE Xplore.

Philip from the TU Ilmenau is visiting this week to look closer into the chemistry aspects of his thesis project. After giving a talk, he will work in our labs with the microfluidic fuel cell setup developed at the Engineering Thermodynamics department (Prof. Christian Cierpka, Dr.-Ing. Jörg König). He is currently finishing his master’s degree in Renewable Energy Technology.
